Street light also known as light pole or street lamp or lamp post or light standard or lamp standard. It is an object which is raised to reflect a source of light on the edge of dimly lit path or road. During the times when electric power distribution became ubiquitous in the developed countries in the 20th century, putting up lights in urban streets followed or sometimes led.
