A bulb is a device that produces light using electricity. They are categorized into three different categories which are Incandescent, florescent and, LED.
First is Incandescent Bulb is a round-shaped glass container which has a thin thread of metal wire called filament made up of tungsten metal which produces light when the electric current is passed through it. This filament needs protection from oxygen, this is the reason that glass container holds some gases like nitrogen or argon. Second is the fluorescent bulb which is tube filled with argon gas and a little bit of mercury. When electricity is passed some kind of game is played by the mercury and vaporous which excite the phosphorus and visible light is emitted. The third one is the LED (light-emitting diode) bulb which is a semiconductor device which produces light through electricity. They do not break easily and available in different colours depending upon the type of chemical composition of semiconducting material used. Some uses of the bulb in electric devices to provide the indication that the device is on, lighting a dark space, direct traffic, produce heat, headlights of vehicles, etc.
